Tourettic Snowflake

Do you know why she’s always feeling ill health?
Do you know why she’s always cursing to herself?
Do you know why she lies awake at night crying?
Do you know why my best friend thinks I’m lying?

Do you know why she has no self esteem?
Do you know why she’s never had a happy dream?
Do you know why her face I see when I’m dreaming?
Do you know why she just stands before me screaming?

Could I be the only one
Who can realise after so long
This snowflake is as pretty as can be
Constantly, she twitches and shakes
Stabbing herself with wooden stakes
She cries and screams in fits randomly

I keep thinking that maybe
Pretty soon she’s going to shake into another scream
And maybe this Tourettic snowflake
Is just another premonitory dream

She always dresses black not white
But glowing in morning sunlight
Just like a fairy, she curses apologies
They’re petrified to hear her squeal
Her Tourettic fits always feel
Like being stung by a thousand bees

I keep thinking that maybe
Pretty soon she’s going to shake into another scream
And maybe this Tourettic snowflake
Is just another premonitory dream

The doctors say there is no cure
She screams because she is demure
Releasing all her potent self-hate
Now she stands up on a roof
All her emotions gone aloof
Can’t stop her jumping — you are too late

You are too late
You are too late
Too late
You’re too late…
