A flame-awwwn contemporary rock album loaded with more driving-rhythm than you can poke a stick at!
Sorority was the first album from Leitm✪tif. It is a grunge/punk album with a sound slightly akin to Sonic Youth.
First demo recording and rough mix was completed between December 2003 and January 2004. This was a demo with no real mastering. In 2007, the album was mostly re-recorded and remixed.
Production on this album has always been aimed at achieving a sound reminiscent of 1990s grunge, particularly to sound like analogue tape and equipment.
The original CD release was mastered to sound modern (very loud and overcompressed). In 2009, the album was remastered. This 2009 edition was intended to preserve the dynamic range of the album and fulfil the ultimate goal of sounding like an early 1990s grunge record. This 2009 edition is available for download from the official download store in various formats including MP3, OGG and lossless FLAC — all FREE!
